CAROPHYLL ORANGE TM 10g TUB - THE BEST CANARY COLOURING PRODUCT

10g Tub

A range of Carophyll* colouring agents which aid plumage pigmentation in birds, particularly canaries, via canthaxanthin. The most effective time to introduce Carophyll* is during the moult when blood-flow to the feathers is at its greatest. In the UK it is normal for Coloured Canary breeders to wait until the first moult before colour feeding which results in many unflighted types showing very contrasting flight feathers. In Europe, breeders prefer to colour-feed small quantities throughout the year claiming that a more intense plumage colour is achieved. The exact amounts of Carophyll* required are based on trial and error or the experience of the breeder but, in any case, guidelines are 5g of Carophyll in 1ltr of water! * Registered trademark of DSM Products.

This product is recommended for all Coloured Canaries and some British Birds.

This product is used each day, just prior to and during the moult (generally somewhere between July - October). Can also be fed to young canaries from about 2 weeks old. If colour food is overdosed there will be too much to absorbe and will just pass through the bird.

This product can be mixed in hot/warm water (not boiling) so the carophyll disolves. Allow to cool before giving to your birds - this can be messy if birds splash in it (can stain water container etc)

This product can be mixed to a slightly stronger mixture and added to eggfood - this is a slightly less messy option and has less waste.

I have been breeding birds for about 9 years now and I have found this is the best colouring product on the market for my coloured canaries and gets the best results for intensive colour. This is what the majority of breeders and show people use.

NOTE: If more than one of these are purchased the extra will be added into 1 container.
